Scarletts Netball Club is delighted to launch the Scarletts Whistle & Wisdom Fund, a new initiative designed to support the development of our young members both on and beyond the court.

At Scarletts, we believe that netball is about far more than playing the game. It provides opportunities to develop confidence, leadership, teamwork and lifelong skills. Through the Whistle & Wisdom Fund, we are investing in the next generation of coaches and umpires, helping our young members take their first steps into officiating and coaching while giving back to the club they love.

Coaching Qualification – Level 1 Coaching

We are offering two part-funded places for members aged 16–20 to complete a recognised Level 1 Coaching qualification.

Scarletts will contribute £110 towards the course fee, reducing the cost to just £50 for each successful applicant (full course cost: £160).

Umpiring Qualification – INTO Officiating

We are also offering three part-funded places for members aged 13–20 to complete the England Netball INTO Officiating Award.

Scarletts will contribute £30 towards the course fee, leaving a contribution of just £15 for each successful applicant (full course cost: £45).

Building the Future of Scarletts

The Whistle & Wisdom Fund is about creating opportunities for our young members to develop new skills while strengthening the future of Scarletts Netball Club and the wider netball community.

Successful applicants will be expected to:

• Attend and complete their qualification course.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to supporting Scarletts Netball Club.
• Put their new qualification into practice by contributing to the club, whether that’s assisting at training sessions, supporting younger players, umpiring club fixtures or helping at club events.

By developing more qualified coaches and umpires from within our own membership, we’re investing in the long-term success of Scarletts while giving our young people valuable experience that will benefit them for years to come.
