Scarletts Coaching

Developing Players. Inspiring Coaches. Growing Together.

At Scarletts Netball Club, we believe great coaching is about more than developing better netball players. It’s about building confidence, inspiring ambition, creating opportunities and helping people discover what they are capable of.

Led by our Head Coach, Georgi, we are passionate about creating a coaching environment that is inclusive, supportive, challenging and, above all, full of energy and fun.

Whether you’re taking your first steps in netball, developing your skills as a competitive player or looking to take your game to the next level, our coaches are here to support you on your journey.

Our Coaching Philosophy

Our coaching approach is player-led, inclusive and supportive. We want every player to feel valued, encouraged and empowered to be the best version of themselves.

We believe in creating a safe environment where players feel confident to try new things, make mistakes, ask questions and challenge themselves.

At Scarletts, our sessions combine plenty of fun, enthusiasm and energy with purposeful coaching, opportunities to learn and challenges that encourage players to push beyond their comfort zones.

We want our players to:

  • Develop their technical skills, tactical understanding and confidence.
  • Feel supported, valued and included, whatever their experience or ability.
  • Be encouraged to challenge themselves and embrace new opportunities.
  • Build resilience, teamwork and a genuine love of the game.
  • Take ownership of their development and become the best players they can be.

We celebrate progress, encourage ambition and recognise that every player’s journey is different.

Growing the Next Generation of Coaches

At Scarletts, we believe that your netball journey doesn’t have to stop at playing. There are so many ways to stay involved in the sport, and coaching is one of the most rewarding.

We are passionate about supporting our young players to explore coaching and leadership opportunities, helping them develop skills that extend far beyond the netball court.

From the age of 16, aspiring coaches can access mentoring and development opportunities with our experienced coaching team.

This may include:

  • Shadowing experienced coaches during training sessions.
  • Supporting coaching activities and delivering elements of sessions.
  • Developing confidence in leading drills and activities.
  • Receiving guidance, feedback and mentoring from experienced coaches.
  • Progressing towards recognised coaching qualifications.

We want to make sure that young people have the opportunity to learn from others, gain practical experience and develop their own coaching style in a supportive environment.

We recognise that gaining coaching qualifications can be a significant commitment, both financially and in terms of time.

Through our Whistle & Wisdom Fund, Scarletts is committed to investing in the future of our sport by supporting members who want to develop their skills and qualifications in coaching and officiating.

We want to remove barriers, create opportunities and make it easier for our members to take their next steps in netball.

Whether you’re interested in becoming a qualified coach, developing your officiating skills or exploring other ways to contribute to the club, we want to help you make it happen.

Our ambition is to create a club where today’s players become tomorrow’s coaches, officials and sporting leaders.
