Scarletts Netball Club are incredibly proud to announce that we have been selected as a recipient of the AMEX Super Shot Fund, in partnership with Birmingham Panthers.

It is a fantastic recognition of the work happening across our club and an exciting opportunity to invest in the people who make our growing grassroots community possible — our coaches.

🏐 Investing in the Next Generation of Coaches

For Scarletts, the funding will have a very specific and exciting purpose: supporting our Level 1 qualified coaches as they take the next step in their coaching journey and work towards their Level 2 qualifications.

As Scarletts continues to grow, so does the demand for more training opportunities and sessions for our players. Developing our existing coaches is one of the most important ways we can continue to meet that demand.

By supporting our Level 1 coaches to progress to Level 2, we can:

• 🎓 Support more coaches to gain higher-level qualifications
• 🏐 Increase the number of qualified coaches within the club
• 👧 Create capacity for additional junior training sessions
• 📈 Continue to grow the club sustainably
• 🌟 Give our coaches the opportunity to develop their own skills and confidence
• ❤️ Provide even more players with access to quality, player-centred coaching

For us, this is what grassroots investment is all about — investing in people so that they can invest in others.

🌱 Growing the Club Through Our Coaches

Scarletts has grown enormously since the club was founded in 2013.

What started as a single team has developed into a thriving club with players across junior and adult sections. As our membership has grown, so has the demand for opportunities to play, train and develop.

We don’t want growth to simply mean more players.

We want it to mean more opportunities.

More sessions.

More coaches.

More pathways.

More chances for our players to fall in love with netball.

And developing our coaching workforce is a huge part of making that happen.

Supporting our Level 1 coaches through their Level 2 qualifications means we are not only investing in their individual development, but also building the foundations for the next stage of Scarletts’ growth.

🐾 Working with Birmingham Panthers

We are particularly excited to be receiving support through the AMEX Super Shot Fund and Birmingham Panthers.

For a grassroots club, opportunities to access funding that directly supports coach development can make a huge difference.

The investment will help us remove some of the financial barriers associated with progressing through the coaching pathway and give our coaches the opportunity to continue developing their knowledge, experience and confidence.

And ultimately, that benefits every player who steps onto court at Scarletts.

Because better supported coaches create more opportunities for players.

At Scarletts, we have always believed that the future of our club isn’t just about the teams we have today — it’s about creating the people and opportunities that will shape the club tomorrow.

Our coaches are a huge part of that.

Many of our coaches have developed alongside the club, progressing through their own coaching journeys while helping our players develop theirs.

The AMEX Super Shot Fund allows us to continue that cycle.

Coach develops → more sessions become possible → more players get opportunities → the club grows → more coaches develop.

It is a really exciting opportunity to create a sustainable pathway for the future.
