Scarletts Netball Club is incredibly proud to announce that we have been named Thriving Collective Award Winners at the England Netball West Midlands ONE Awards 2026.

The award, presented in July, celebrates clubs that have demonstrated the power of community, collaboration and collective impact. To receive this recognition is an incredible honour and a reflection of everything Scarletts stands for.

Over the past 12 months, our club has continued to grow both on and off the court, driven by one simple belief: netball is about so much more than the game.

Together, we’ve worked to create more opportunities, more support and a stronger community where everyone feels they belong.

Over the last year Scarletts has:

• Launched the Make it Happen Programme to celebrate and recognise our incredible volunteers.
• Introduced the Whistle & Wisdom Fund, securing grant funding to help young members gain coaching and umpiring qualifications.
• Developed mentoring opportunities for coaches and umpires to support their ongoing development.
• Expanded our training sessions and created more opportunities for members of all ages and abilities to play.
• Partnered with Dove and Nike to deliver body confidence workshops, empowering teenage girls to enjoy sport with confidence.
• Continued building an inclusive, welcoming club where players, coaches, volunteers and families can thrive together.

While these achievements are something to celebrate, they represent something much bigger than individual initiatives. They reflect the culture we’ve built together—a club where people support one another, friendships flourish and everyone has the opportunity to grow.

A Message from Head Coach Georgi

Speaking after receiving the award, Head Coach Georgi reflected on the club’s journey:

“Proud doesn’t quite cover it.

When I started Scarletts, I simply wanted a team to play netball with my friends. Over the years that vision has grown into something so much bigger. I wanted to create more than just a netball club—I wanted to build a community where people feel welcomed, supported, challenged and valued, regardless of their age, ability or experience.

This award is recognition of what happens when incredible people come together with a shared purpose.

None of what we’ve achieved has happened because of one person. It has happened because of our amazing coaches, volunteers, committee, umpires, players, parents and supporters who give their time, energy and hearts to Scarletts every single week.

You are the reason this club continues to thrive.

Thank you to everyone who has believed in the vision and helped shape what Scarletts has become. Watching this community grow into something that changes lives both on and off the court is the greatest privilege.
